It's been a week full of good progress for me, a crazy busy one that has left me feeling a bit scatter-brained and fighting a head cold. So, please forgive me if anything in this post doesn't make sense, I'm all stuffed up and quite possibly lacking good grammar and the ability to make my thoughts clear :)
Finished:
Holiday sawtooth star pillow - I felt the urge to make a little pillow last week, so I dug out my favorite holiday print by Alexander Henry and went to town.
Girlie baby quilt - I couldn't help myself this weekend, I had to finish off this little girlie quilt. So darling and sweet! I might hang this one on the wall in my sewing room...
Still going:
Red and white custom quilt - All quilted up, a zillion straight lines, just need to work on binding this one!
X and O quilt - I finished quilting this one yesterday, despite this evil head cold I'm trying to plow through, and cut up my binding strips. I love, love, love the fabric I'm using for the binding, it's one of my favorite prints from Peacock Lane.
A little FMF mini - After I discovered some awesome pieces of FMF in the awesome swap package I received from my PTS partner last week, I felt the urge to use my bits and pieces that I've hoarded in something finally. I'm not sure why exactly, but I went with a churn dash block, and I'm really glad I did, I love how it's coming together. I think I'm going to add some kind of border around the blocks and then quilt and bind it, hopefully in time for Amylouwho's Friday Mini Quilt Challenge.
Farmer's Wife QAL - Again, I didn't manage to get any FW blocks done this week. I totally wanted to, though!
Little Apples quilt - Yep, didn't get to this one either :(
New this week:
{Sew} Beautiful block for Lee - Lee's sent along a lovely package of fall fabrics for a tree block. I've been sketching a few tree ideas and I'm hoping I decide on one soon!
do.Good.Stitches blocks - We're doing another round of improv blocks, this time in oranges and blues, so I've dug out some scraps to start with...
And now, I need some serious coffee - darn this evil time change! Whoever came up with this whole time change business clearly did not have children. My munchkin is all kinds of messed up with the time change, and so am I, for that matter. My body clock is all kinds of wonky, my sleeping is all fouled up (and this cold isn't helping!), and I am in need of some good old-fashioned caffeine to get going this morning. Where to begin! I love it all, that churn dash mini is just adorable, what a perfect use of some FMF!! I cant even imagine that amount of straight line quilting that went into that zig zag quilt! I have also been thinking of some Christmas pillows, great saw tooth pillow! Love it all Elizabeth!!

I love the churn dashes, too, and not just because that's what I'm working on at the moment!
Oh, and yeah, the time change is a brute. The cat alarm clock now goes off an hour early and no matter how much I yell at them to go to sleep, they still think it's breakfast!

You amaze me every week with all you've got done, it makes me feel utterly inefficient lol (probably because I am ;o) ) And if you think you have time change problems, imagine, if you will, a young couple and their baby moving from Belfast, Northern Ireland to Nigeria, near the equator, where there is almost exactly 12 hours each of darkness and light. They carefully trained said baby to sleep when it got dark and wake when it got light again, but then, when she was a 2 1/2 year old toddler they moved back to Glasgow during the summer (which to give you a North American latitude perspective is about halfway up Hudson Bay in Canada). They fought and fought to get her to sleep when it was still light, but they weren't anticipating she would wake up again when it got light. Yes, my idiot parents did that to me, and in Glasgow in mid summer it is dark for all of about an hour... Personally I thinks it serves them right ;o)
The Holiday Sawtooth Star Pillow is darling and I completely understand the need to make up that Girly quilt - I've got three males in my house! I don't have time to comment enough but I always enjoy reading what you share with the quilting world. :)

Right there with you on the time change. My 2.5 year olds decided that they would not nap yesterday, and they are still cranky trying to make up for it. It makes for a really long day for mommy.

Here I am, another Elizabeth with the childhood nickname of Betsy, but I liked it, as I was named after a dear friend of my mother's. However. When I became all of 18 years old, I decided it was too juvenile and consigned it to my history. Some of my family still call me that, but most have switched over to Elizabeth. So we both have a history with that name, but I haven't yet named my sewing machine (better get on that).
Okay, back to quilting. Oh my, all so lovely. Like others who have commented, I'm impressed that you get so much done even if you have a cold and aren't feeling well. Love the girl quilt, the Christmas pillow and the bee blocks look like they'll be a wonderful success. I've enjoyed your blog for some time now, but decided to leave a comment congratulating you for suggesting WIP Wednesday to Lee. I've really enjoyed it!

I haven't gotten my machine out since sewing club on Tuesday...when it's out I want to sew and sew. Nothing wrong with that, but then nothing much else gets done.
