Starting off the new year in style

Happy New Year everyone!  Now it's time to start practicing writing 2012, because if you're anything like me, it'll be June before that starts to come naturally.  :)

Let's start the new year off in style, shall we?  How about a new quilt tutorial?  Hop on over to the Moda Bake Shop this morning to check out my latest contribution, the Modern Halves quilt, a super bright and fun pattern that would also be a fabulous scrapbuster.

I had so much fun working with these gorgeous fabrics!  Half Moon Modern is such a gorgeous collection, especially in person.  You can find yardage and bundles of Half Moon Modern at some of my favorite online quilt shops, including Pink Castle Fabrics and Fresh Squeezed Fabrics.

I'd love to hear what you think of my new quilt, hop on over to the Bake Shop to leave me a comment!  Happy New Year!

Love this! It is so bright and cheerful and a great spin on a typical string quilt. I was just saying to someone the other day I wanted to make a string quilt because I love the look but was always scared off by how much time it would take using little strings but this is such a great mix. Okay off to Moda Bake Shop to see the rest. Congrats on another pattern there.

Oh this is really nice! I love Half Moon Modern & just bought one colorway. Maybe I should have bought more! ;-)
So for a scrap quilt, just make each block one color, and go from there, yes?

Hi! You know that we see every day so many really beautiful quilts but now and then there is the quilt that makes you feel Ooooh - that's just what I want to make! Yours is that for me today!
I love very colourful but in a way simple patterns. I do hope that my fat quarter bundle wins and I can make your pattern!
