Sew Positive: Featured in Quilts from Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks

Yay, I get to spill the beans on a fun project I worked on at the end of last year, using the fantastic Bike Path stash builders by Alison Glass for Andover Fabrics...introducing the Sew Positive quilt!

Sew Positive - my new quilt pattern in Quiltmaker's Quilts from 100 Blocks

Last May, my Beautiful Math block was featured in volume five of Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks. I loved the block, and came up with some fun setting options, but I also had another setting option in mind - mixing the original block with a jumbo sized block, and that's how the Sew Positive quilt came to be.

I love the contrast between the black background and the bright Bike Path prints. These prints can be found at Pink Castle Fabrics and Stash Modern Fabrics.

The quilting was done in black 50 wt Aurifil thread, in a simple connected box style, using my spring-loaded free-motion foot rather than my walking foot to minimize twisting and turning the quilt, and the quilt is bound in Lizzy House's Pearl Bracelets in Black.
