Coming Soon: Quilty Flashback Friday

This week, I started to run out of hard drive space on my computer. Again. Thankfully, I've got a giant backup drive that I move things to every so often when this happens, and as I was moving files, I came across a bunch of my old sewing pictures, which made me all nostalgic. Then I had a lightbulb moment - wouldn't it be fun to have a little quilty Flashback Friday fun, and share an old quilt and the memories it conjures up?! Yes!!

I think it's good for us to reflect about our quilty journey - to see how far we've come, to appreciate new skills we've learned or things we've mastered that we never thought possible. We all came to this craft as beginners, and I can remember feeling intimidated sometimes by the beauty of others' quilts when I first started and thinking that I'd never be able to do this, that or the other. So if you want to join me in the fun this Friday, I would just love that. Share your blog post with me on Friday or feel free to share via social media and use the hashtag #quiltyflashbackfriday . I can't wait to see what you dig up from your archives :)

  1. My quilty flashbacks only go about a year LOL!, but I love to see how sewists/quilters progress and learn. What a neat idea! Cindy

  2. Oh, that is a really fun idea! It makes me want to dig around and find photos of old quilts that I know I haven't digitized yet.

  4. I really love this idea! Sometimes I forget how much not just my skills but my tastes have evolved... It will be fun to shine a light on some of those old projects!
