All work and hardly any sewing

Oh my, it's been over two weeks since my last post! Yikes, so sorry about the inadvertent blog break, work's been crazy as of late! I'm working on getting caught up on all things bloggy and quilty, so there's definitely some blog posts in the works over the next few weeks. I do have a new adorable distraction at home right now - this handsome little puppy, who we've named Maximus.

Maximus is a nine-week-old goldendoodle who is just a love. He's super sweet and we're so overjoyed to have him as a new part of our family. Especially Mr. Goofy Smile here - he checked out a boatload of dog training for kids books at the local library yesterday!

In between puppy care and regular old life, I've been working on sorting out my selvages for a big selvage project, which has been a whole lot like going through my own personal quilting scrapbook. It's reminded me of old projects long gifted to others, and fabrics that I've run out of eons ago, which was really enjoyable. I finished the sorting positively covered in thread, but with a big smile on my face.

Now the selvages are all rainbow sorted, in baggies for each color of the rainbow, all ready to get to sewing with. I'll try to share some sneak peeks as I work through this project, but I won't be able to share the full reveal for a while yet.

Oh my goodness, I nearly forgot! I owe you guys a winner as well! The winner of the fabulous Quick Curve giveaway is: Nancy Sumner. Congratulations to you! Have a wonderful day everyone :)

  1. I've been loving all the Maximus photos on instagram - he is such a cute puppy (and you're giving me puppy envy over here).

  2. Anxious to see your selvage project. I have started saving mine

  3. Maximus is so cute! Congratulations on your new family member. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with all the selvages.

Thank you for leaving a comment for me! I appreciate each and every one of them and try to respond when time allows. Your comments totally brighten my day :)

Welcome! I'm Elizabeth, mom to a very busy nine year old boy and a one year old baby girl and I sew for my sanity. Let's get to quilting, shall we?
