A wee bit of travel

So if you follow me on Instagram, this won't be news to you, but I know not everyone is an Instagram addict like I am :) I was a lucky girl a few weeks ago - I got to spend a week in beautiful Denver, Colorado mixing a little business with pleasure. The munchkin and I got to spend time with my immediate family that happens to live in Denver, providing him with tons of quality time with his cousins, and I also got to head back to a place I enjoy immensely - the Craftsy studios.

I had a great time working on set for my new Craftsy class. I'm always bowled over by how much fun it is to work on these classes. Don't get me wrong, I love teaching in person as well, but it's just oodles of fun for me to get to spend a week feeling like my college degree in television production is actually getting some use! I had a great team working with me again this time, and I got to head back to beautiful Studio E for this shoot, which I was really happy about. Thank you so much to my wonderful on-set team, J.C., Tony, Jeff, Tiffany and John - you guys made this past week fly by and you made it feel like fun instead of work!!

We did get some tourist-y time as well, and checked out the newly renovated Union Station, which was just gorgeous at night. I wish we'd gotten a chance to stop by Fancy Tiger again, but time wasn't on our side. Much to do, and a limited amount of daylight after a long day of shooting, I suppose! Maybe next time?

I can't wait to share more from the class with you! This was a great class and I can't wait to tell you more about it :) Have a super Monday!

  8. Hooray! what a great feeling to finish a class! JC was my producer too, I really liked her low key style and the thumbs up! And that's so nice when your early training ends up being relevant in a totally unrelated area.

Welcome! I'm Elizabeth, mom to a very busy nine year old boy and a one year old baby girl and I sew for my sanity. Let's get to quilting, shall we?
