Happy Labor Day! I'm hoping to get some quality time in my sewing room today, as I'm nearly done with the 6" blocks now, and I think I might just sew up a 12" block or two for next week, just to try something a little different. Not that I'm getting bored with my 6" blocks, they're super fun and quick to put together, but I've got a total of twenty 12" blocks to make for this quilt, so I'm going to have to start on them at some point. This week's new additions are two more stars, bringing our grand total of stars up to 5, but I promise this isn't going to turn into a star sampler, but I can't resist a small handful of stars :)
This another block I'm going to have to make more of one of these days. This paper pieced beauty is my new favorite block for sure. I think it's the combination of the colors together that I'm just loving. It's blocks like this one that really solidify my fabric choices and make me feel happy :) Super simple, yes, but super striking, too, I think.
This is another block that stems back from my first book, Becoming a Confident Quilter (signed copies available in my shop!). The Polaris quilt was one of my favorites from the book, so I was excited to downsize it and make it a part of this quilt.
Twelve down, twenty-seven to go! Don't forget, you can subscribe to the Epic Sampler BOM Club, which will kick off on October 1st, right here!
